Ghosts In My Neighborhood.

I watch a lot of Disney Channel shows, and even though they are predictable and loud and screechy and whiney, I still like them.  Good Luck Charlie, A.N.T. Farm, Jessie, Shake It Up – I like all those.  But I despise Austin and Ally.  I hate it because of that freaking red headed kid.  All the acting on these shows is horrible overacting and shouting, but this kid is the worst.  Case in point:

I found out today that you can make cupcakes without eggs, you can just use cake mix and tonic water.  I made four dozen cupcakes.  I made pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, and caramel apple cupcakes with caramel apple frosting.

Oh wait, back to The Disney Channel.  There is a show that had potential to be funny and cute, called Liv and Maddie, about twins.  But the same girl plays both sisters.  I HATE THAT.  Actually, I am almost positive I have complained about this before, but if you are going to have a show about the novelty of twins, have actual twins.  This is why the movie Twitches is awesome, because there are actually two people, and it is really weird when there are two people who look exactly alike.  It is not weird when it is one person playing two people because of course she is going to look the same because she is the same damn person.  There is no novelty there.  Now I am confused, though, because I really like The Parent Trap (both versions) and both versions have one kid playing twins.  I am a walking contradiction, except I am actually sitting.

I have finally discovered my superpower.  My hair and fingernails grow abnormally fast.

Have you been keeping up on the Dogs Eating Peanut Butter videos?  I have expanded to Bearded Dragons as well.  Want your dog to be in my Dogs Eating Peanut Butter videos?  E-mail me at and I’ll tell you what to do!  Or you know, your cat or monkey or donkey or horse or any fuzzy creatures that eat peanut butter.  I wanted to get Harry Connick Jr. to eat peanut butter, but he was only signing autographs, not eating peanut butter.

Now it is tomorrow night because I fell asleep writing again.  I can not stop listening to Jar of Hearts on repeat.  I like to listen to Angry Girl Music a lot and then this one time AJ was listening to music I did not like and I told him to play something better and he said “I’m sorry, I don’t have Angry Girl Music” and that is when I realized I need to expand my horizons.  I go in phases with music and I actually have very eclectic taste.  I will listen to Joshua Bell just as much as I listen to R.E.M, the Wicked Broadway Cast Recording, and Evanescence.  Not that this particular list is the essence of diversity, but my point is, I do like a lot of stuff.

This person in my neighborhood wrote a kids book series called Three Ghost Friends.  I do not know anything about it, but I do know that he has three big wooden ghosts in his yard and every few nights they move and they are doing different things.  Tonight they each had a pumpkin.  One night they were playing soccer and one of them was the goalie.  Another night, they were all different colors instead of white.  I found out that they are acting out scenes from the books, and now I drive by every night just to see what they are doing.  I love it.  At first I thought someone was messing with the family who lives there by moving their Halloween decorations around, but it turns out, they are doing it themselves.  I wish I had been taking pictures every time I drive by.

I finished Allegiant by Veronica Roth and desperately need someone to talk to about it and no one I know has read it yet.  I also finished the second book in the Book of Stories series by Chris Colfer, which is actually very good, but the only person who will talk to me about that is my 10 year old niece, which is fine.  Now I am almost done (I will finish tonight) with Paper Towns by John Green.  What should I read next?  Post it in the comments.  So few people ever comment but to those of you who do, I appreciate it!

  1. Jar of Hearts is my go-to break up song. I once listened to it (and pretty much only it) on repeat for 3 straight months. Healing power.

I can’t watch anything on Disney channel anymore except Phineas and Ferb (and omfg I LOVE Phineas and Ferb). But, I’ve never been a fan of their live action shows, really. bring be cartoons. 🙂
